Baked figs with poppy miso

Craving something sweet, fruity, and with a salty miso note? And something easy to prepare?

Get inspired by another original recipe from Yuhi Che, which we’re once again very grateful for!

Ingredients:

  • Figs – 4 pieces
  • Poppy miso – 1-2 teaspoons
  • Chopped nuts (any kind) – 1 tablespoon
  • Any creamy cheese or quark (as shown in the photo)
  • Lemon juice from half a lemon
  • Honey – 1 tablespoon

Method:

  1. Score the figs from the top into quarters (just a cut, don’t slice all the way).
  2. Fill the resulting space between the cuts with cheese and nuts.
  3. Mix the lemon juice and poopy miso and add it the same way as in the previous step.
  4. Drizzle honey on top and bake for 6-10 minutes at 175-180°C, depending on how “melty” you want the figs to be.

Serve as a unique sweet treat or on its own for snacking. Enjoy!
