Milk miso soup

Today we bring you a rather unusual recipe for miso soup. At first glance, you might not think these ingredients go well together :) But don’t be fooled — give it a try!

Ingredients for one serving:

  • 50g chopped Chinese cabbage
  • 15g sliced bacon
  • Half a tablespoon of miso (pea or soy)
  • One teaspoon of soup stock
  • 5–8g butter
  • 150ml hot milk
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • One tablespoon of water

Method:

  1. Place the Chinese cabbage, bacon, stock, and water into a bowl.
  2. Heat it in the microwave for 2 minutes (500W). For those who prefer to avoid microwaves, gently heat it in a pot instead.
  3. Add miso and hot milk to the bowl and mix well.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

You can adjust the recipe to your liking by adding more vegetables (potatoes, onions, spinach, etc.) or mushrooms.
